The board of Princeton Regional Schools has passed a motion to retire the name of the district in favor of a more contemporary moniker. Princeton Public Schools, or PPS for short.

The newest member to sit on the board for the Princeton Board of Education said he was eager to join so that children in the Princeton School District would enjoy the same experiences he had as a child.

Negotiations are under way between ECM Publishers of Coon Rapids and American Community Newspapers II (ACN) to purchase Minnesota Sun Newspapers.

On Wednesday, Dec. 7, Arctic explorer William Steger spoke to Princeton citizens about the disheartening climate changes hes seen on his many travels, but he emphasized that its not too late to change things and has a lot of hope for the Earths future.

In Baldwin Township, just south of the airport in Princeton, Minn., A small plane crashed after losing power shortly after take-off, according to the Star Tribune. Miraculously, the pilot of the Cessna 152, thirty-three-year-old Barry Ramage of Princeton, was entirely uninjured in the crash. The plane, however, did not share in his good fortune.
